I have a daughter much like me, in her own unique way
Alternating between a little girl, and becoming a lady each day
Creative and bubbly and loves the fine art
Definitely my little girl from the heart
Changes in life has caused her emotions to swirl
Yet underneath all this contradiction is my little girl
She dances, and sings and loves to play
Will she be a little girl or lady today?
When we are together she shares her world, as I share mine
It is the most cherished of memories we will remember in time
She is blinded to things in life just like me
But I love the young lady she is becoming to be
Our thinkings, are often different, and yet respected
She is mildly autistic just as suspected
She is like me yes this is true
But we are different because we are two
She has her own separate interests and plans
She knows I will walk with her and hold her hands
Letting her grow into womanhood is a true blessing to see
I am watching this miracle, becoming who she was meant to be
She dances, sings and loves to play
Will she be my little girl or lady today?
Love, Mom
