Equality

Should a woman strive to be equal
To so different a creature as a man?
What does equality means then?
That she can do all that a man can?

And in doing everything that a man can do,
Has she become "it?"
I imagine that a world of only men
Would not interest me one bit!
          ....

For, are men better managers
Of people, things or money?
What is it that keeps a family going
Why do small boys need their Mommy?

For women are made to handle much more;
Do many things simultaneously.
Most handle two jobs, a home and their work
And balance both relatively painlessly.
          ....

Why is it then that men seem to yearn
For a woman to "complement them?"
Is it true that a man with no woman behind
Will have difficulty reaching momentum?

In his career, his life, his emotional state;
Incomplete without a Spouse;
A life missing something can be empty and cold
Like a home that is just a house.
        .....

Equality then, is the chance, not the work
Allowing each choice of activity.
Equality means that it's each to his own
Ability, dreams, creativity.
