"...Hey Mom, I made it, hey look at me now.
...Hey Mom I made it, for crying out loud."
You had your advocacy wings on,
attached to the floor,
Hey, they did not know what hit them,
When "you" chose to soar...
Hey Mom, I'm thankful for that and the rest,
You made them understand me, when the rest were not at their
best.
Hey mom, we DID IT, with you at the helm
You moved mountains and built support groups,
and made others not feel alone.
Your vision was strong,
And we were a pain
But you never lost sight of what could have been gained.
Hey, look Ma, WE DID IT,
TOGETHER at last.
It was tough, but worth it,
and the rest we will wax.
We had a vision and voice
we wanted to share,
and we stopped at nothing,
to make sure others cared.
So HEY FOLKS
WE DID IT,
WE DROVE OUR POINT HOME.
The ones that don't get it,
Needs to find another home.
We'll keep telling our tale
to all who will hear
So my kids are right when they say,
Mom, WE ARE HERE...
Hey look folks, we made it
ASPIRES is the BEST,
A vision and road map,
With the "best" of the "best"
So, let's keep telling our tale,
to all that will hear,
And may be "one" day,
All in the world will hear.
Hey look folks we made it,
We beat all the odds
Together we are stronger
Together were Odd
But whether odd, or just unique
Simply different or sheik
Together we are stronger
And that is the message we send.
Hey Folks, we are stronger together that is true,
...but never forget that remarkable You.
We might not always agree,
and that is ok,
as long as we are true to ourselves
then all is OK!
So here is to ASPIRES may it live long and shine,
May it be different things to all of us,
and make us all SHINE
May it continue to grow and make us all proud
and most importantly...
