Friend

You say you're my friend
But you sure don't treat me like one
The only time you do, is when
nobody else is around.
Why is that?
Are you embarrassed to call me your friend?
Are you ashamed to be seen with me?
Do you not want anyone to know that I am?
Or is it that you think I'm too dumb,
naive to see what you're doing?
Because I see you being two-faced to me
and I don't like it.
It may have taken me a little while to figure it
all out, but now that I know what game you're playing.
I don't want to be your friend anymore.
I just wish you could have treated me
the way that I treated you.

"We each have our own way of living in the world, together we are like a symphony.
Some are the melody, some are the rhythm, some are the harmony
It all blends together, we are like a symphony, and each part is crucial.
We all contribute to the song of life."
...Sondra Williams

We might not always agree; but TOGETHER we will make a difference.
