The Path Remaining

The rest of the path
Yet lies before me
As it always has
From toddler
Through adolescence
And young adulthood
To this day

The end’s not in sight
In these latter days
I’m experiencing
As it surely wasn’t then
But it is much closer now
It’s kept approaching
Clearly it has

I’m convinced more
As I face the end
Of my experience
In this skin
It was not for naught
That I trod this path
Not at all

The path had my heart
It’s weakness and strength
Fear and hope as well
Through all my experience
A deep knowing-trust
In some eternal connection
With each step

I don’t know any more
And yet I do know
Somehow I do know
Or trust at least
The All lives in me
And lives through me
As through all

I’m no demon nor god
Not saint nor sinner
I’m less than that
And more than that
I’m related to the stars
In flesh and out of it
Part of The All

Gratitude is tough to feign
On days of rocky path
And pain has it’s way
Of clouding the sun
Weakening the body
Squeezing out hot
Heart tears

That physical pain
Will be left behind
Shorn of power
With the beloved body
As will that pain
Of my fleshy heart-soul
Connection

I’ll be transformed
As I’ve been before
As all have been
Back to Spirit
Dancing, fully free
Refreshing my soul
Home in The All

Danger is always there
And yet it’s a mirage
For there is no death
No end of all time
In All That is
There only Is
Transcendence

Time is the medium
In which flesh dwells
Fluid and flowing
In a limited reality
That cannot end
Because it never was
All that is

So I go on in courage
On this path with hope
I’ll continue exploring
All That Is in this me
Finding "moments" of Union
With all I see and feel
Until Transcendence

"We each have our own way of living in the world, together we are like a symphony.
Some are the melody, some are the rhythm, some are the harmony
It all blends together, we are like a symphony, and each part is crucial.
We all contribute to the song of life."
...Sondra Williams

We might not always agree; but TOGETHER we will make a difference.
