Freedie the Free Loader

In show business each performer finds a character the public loves. For me it was Freddie the Free Loader. People often ask me where did you get this idea and WHO is Freddie the Free Loader REALLY?

Well, I guess you might say, that he was a little bit like you and me
And a little bit of all of us, you know?

He has found out what love means and knows the value of time.
He knows that time is a glutton that eats up life.

We say we don't have time to do this or that
...but there is plenty of time
The trick is to apply it.

Our greatest disease in this world today is procrastination
And Freddie knows about all these things
And so do you.

He, um, ....he doesn't ask anyone to provide for him
Because it would be taking away from you

He doesn't ask for equal rights
If it is going to give up some of yours,
And he knows one thing.
That patriotism is more powerful than guns.

He is nice to everyone
Because he was taught that

Man was made in God's image
He has never met God in person
And the next fellow just might be him.

I'd would say, Freddie is a little bit of all of us."

He closed his show with this song:

The time has come to say goodnight
My, how time does fly

We had a laugh
Perhaps a tear
And now we hear good bye

I really hate to say Good Night
As times like this are few
I wish you love and happiness
In every thing you do

The time has come to say good night
And I hope I made a friend

And so will say, May God Bless
...Until we meet again.

Good night and May God Bless..."

.....The late GREAT Red Skelton

Go Top

"We each have our own way of living in the world, together we are like a symphony.
Some are the melody, some are the rhythm, some are the harmony
It all blends together, we are like a symphony, and each part is crucial.
We all contribute to the song of life."
...Sondra Williams

We might not always agree; but TOGETHER we will make a difference.
