Michelle Lazar,
MT-BC graduate student in the San Diego State University Department of
Special Education, is conducting research to determine the
outcomes of self-employment as a career option
for adults with autism spectrum disorders.
Self-employment is also
referred to as freelance work, contractual work, sole-proprietor, or owning
your own business. This could include selling greeting cards or artwork,
providing professional services as a contractor such as computer repair,
being paid for freelance musical or stage performances, selling things over
the internet, and many other types of work.
This survey is composed of
26 questions relating to your background, the type of work you do, and your
satisfaction with your work.
A knowledgeable adult (such as a parent, legal guardian,
caregiver, or job coach) can assist you in completing this survey if you are
unable to do so independently.
